DESCRIPTION:This month’s book club will be on August 23rd at 6:30 PM. We are reading “The First Lie Wins” by Ashley Elston.\n\n\nBook Club meets every other month and we read all sorts of genres.  Whoever hosts picks the book for the next session. The date is coordinated by the person who picked the last book and will be leading the discussion and the host who will pick the next book.  Frequently we are given a choice of books and we vote which one we all would like to read.  Anyone is welcome to come – even if they haven’t read the book!  We all bring a dish or dessert to share and have a great time.  There is a Facebook page for members with the current book and any information that we have on the next meeting.\n\nContact martypbeach@gmail.com for details.

DESCRIPTION:The monthly ROMEO meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9 am — currently at Chloez’s Cafe. We make every effort to meet at different locations to take advantage of\, and support\, our local eateries. BBCA retirees\, do join us for interesting breakfasts – and conversations! \n\nLast month (July) we had a professor from George Mason University speak about Crypto Currency. This month\, we will have a representative from the Fairfax County Services for the Aging. \n\n  \nWho are the ROMEOs? \nWe eat out\, have fun\, make and keep friends\, and are not bound by rules; that is\, no causes\, no specific membership restrictions except Retired “Old” Men Eating Out and talking. Our past meetings have touched on various subjects related to Ukraine\, Russia\, Fairfax Sr. Center\, hiking the Sierra and Appalachian Trails\, and downsizing. ROMEOS in other neighborhoods have their own schedules\, meeting for breakfast or lunch or dinner once a week\, or once a month\, or whatever works for their group. Some are composed of people with similar interests or similar past professions\, but most reflect the great mosaic that is the retired men’s community.
